Cautions / Contraindications:
1) not for W-C cough with phlegm-heat accumulation
2) not for wheezing due to cold
3) contraindicated with lingering pathogenic factors and qi deficiency

Common Modifications:

Severe LU heat (increase Shi Gao dosage, Sang Bai Pi, Huang Qin, Zhi Mu)
Exterior syndrome obvious (reduce Shi Gao dosage, Bo He, Su Ye, Sang Ye )
Large amount of phlegm with wheezing (Ting Li Zi, Pi Pa Ye)
Sticky Phlegm, oppressed chest (Gua Lou, Bei Mu, Huang Qin, Jie Geng)
