Shi Jun Zi Actions and Indications
- Kills Parasites (roundworms; pinworms, safe for use with children)
- Strengthens SP; dissolves accumulations (infantile malnutrition; abdominal distension / bloating, poor appetite, emaciation; especially due to parasites)
- (cc: avoid drinking with hot tea; may cause diarrhea or belching)
- (cc: overdose, especially in the raw form, may cause dizziness, belching, vomiting)

Special Notes:
- Shi Jun Zi and Ku Lian Gen Pi are commonly used to kill parasites. Shi Jun Zi is more suitable for children while Ku Lian Gen Pi is more effective to kill parasites, especially when fresh.
- To treat roundworms: remove the shell of Shi Jun Zi and crush the contents into a powder. Mix it with rice water and serve on an empty stomach in the early morning time - 5 am.
- Shi Jun Zi and Fei Zi can both kill parasites without harming the stomach, and there is no need to add purgative herbs to the formula. Fei Zi is more effective for tapeworm, hookworm, and pinworm while Shi Jun Zi is more effective for roundworm and strengthens SP / ST.
